Apple sales fall for iPhone!
According to Gartner, global sales of smartphones grew by 9.7% year on year during the fourth quarter of 2015.
That was slower growth for a quarter since 2008. The number of smartphones sold in Q4 amounted to 403 million units.
For the full year 2015, worldwide sales of smartphones account for 1.4 billion units, or 14.4% more than in 2014.
Android has continued its global dominance in the fourth quarter. while Google's operating system accounted that holds 80.7% of smartphone sales globally over the three month period. Worldwide sales of Android devices increased by 16.6% year on year in the last quarter of the year.
In the last quarter, among the biggest producers of smart phones were Samsung and Huawei.
Huawei has sold 104.09 million units to increase market share in the last quarter from 5.5% to 7.3%, from year to year.
This makes the third place is Apple.
While Apple had reported a slight increase year on year, iPhone sales for the fourth quarter actually fell 4.4% during the three month period.
This is the first quarter in the history of Apple product that has the drop in sales.
