10 COOLEST THINGS IN THE WORLD THIS WEEK

From a stunning £16 book to a secluded £75,000,000 private island...

Bombay Sapphire Star of Bombay

Want to know what elevates this above the common variety Bombay Sapphire? This one’s produced at the brand's newly reopened distillery in Leverstoke Mill, Hampshire, which is home to a special slow distillation process that increases the level of extraction from the botanical oils used to give it its flavour. That means you can taste more of the infusions (juniper, coriander, lemon peel, orris, angelica, almonds, liquorice, cassia bark, bergamot orange peel and ambrette seeds, if you were wondering). The result is the best bottle of Bombay we’ve tasted yet.

BMW M760Li xDrive V12

Mercedes pretty owns the rights to enormo-luxe executive sedans with the S-Class, but this new more-of-everything offering from BMW may well trouble the männer from Stuttgart. The M760Li is stonking – there’s a 600hp V12 engine that gets it from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds, four-wheel drive and a gently BDSMdiamond-stitched leather interior that’s so vast and luxurious it threatens to swallow you whole. We’ll take two.

Airbus Corporate Jet ACJ320neo

What to do when you've outgrown your Learjet? Get stuck into the Airbus Corporate Jet line, which allows you to access the aircraft ordinarily flown by commercial airlines. The latest model is the ACJ320neo, which can carry you and 24 passengers to LA or Hong Kong non-stop: if you're going that far we'd definitely opt for the cinema lounge option interior, which still leaves space for a dining area in the centre of the plane and an office in the back. That's one way to stand out on the apron.

Arc 3D printed stainless steel bicycle

If you’ve hopped on the 3D printing bandwagon you might have created a few lumps of melted plastic curios, but you almost definitely won’t have built a viable means of transport. A group of Dutch students, however, have. Thisbicycle, created by Amsterdam university TU Delft and MX3D, was made using a full-bore multi-axis stainless steel 3D printer – complete with a MIG welder that fuses aluminum together. You can’t buy it yet, but we hope that’ll change soon.

Van Gogh’s bedroom available on Airbnb

OK, so it’s not Van Gogh’s actual bedroom, rather a recreation of his painting. It’s been built in honour of an exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago, which will host all three versions of the artist’s lauded "The Bedroom" painting. You'll have to fly to the USA to try it out, but at least the room's reasonable.
